ContestsListed below are all the categories in the contests. I bet most people were not even aware there were so many. More awards than listed are even possible, because the TLR will give Honorable Mentions if the judges feel they are deserved. Where is this going? Well, have YOU ever entered a contest? We are all proud of our work. Justifiably so. Here is your chance to show off. Even better, here is your chance to show off in front of people who will understand your work! The judges are fellow modelers. Impress them and win a prize. Concerned about the horror stories you've heard about way too much paperwork and mean judges? Don't be. The paperwork is not that bad. Check out the NMRA's Contest Pages for information, hints, and help. The forms are also available on the NMRA site. As for the mean judges, well, I haven't come across many. Most are there to admire your work, to see all the work you put into it, and to offer suggestions and help. They may write comments on your paperwork: pay attention to them. Nothing is intended to hurt, all is intended to help you become a better modeler. And what's wrong with that? So, peruse the list below. Bring your models, your photographs, and your artwork to Saint Paul. Let's have the fullest contest room ever! PS: Don't forget the return of the Special Contest - Modern Fallen Flags.
